The softener is a sodium ion exchanger composed of an ion exchange pressure vessel (or ion exchange column), a sodium cation resin, a automatic control valve, and a salt tank regeneration system. The softener vessel usually use FRP, carbon steel or stainless steel material.
Working principle
The ion exchange resin reduce the water hardness by replacing magnesium and calcium(Mg2+ and Ca2+) with sodium or potassium ions(Na+ and K+)
Applications
Widely used in chemical, petroleum, manufacturing, air conditioning, central heating and other industries.
